Basic Noob: How do you make an embedded album?

I know this is probably basic, but I have looked through the docs and its just not clear how you do it. When I click the WPG2 link on my blog it goes to an embedded main page, which is not what i want. i'd like to just go straight to one public album within my gallery2 install. like this [img]http://wpg2.galleryembedded.com/images/9/94/Operation_-_Clipboard01.jpg[/img] Any help really appreciated Thanks |

Guez that screen looks familiar ;) You can directly go to any album within Gallery2 by specifying the album name. Say for example, /photos/australia/ etc also if you post an image that links to an album in your blog posting, that link will also take you directly to the album. If you do not specify an album, G2 will instead take you to the default main page. So if you want the link to always go to an album, then create a bookmark and instead use that bookmark rather than the default WPG2 Embedded Page. ____________________________________ |

It still doesnt make sense? How to I alter the link to go straight to an album? where do I enter the link information? |

I'm also interested in knowing how I can link to an album. I find if I select "thumbnail with link to parent album" then I don't get the fancy border or thumbnail sizing that I set in the WP WPG2 admin options. |

I am sitting with the same problem here. Would like to create a list of albums in my wordpress (like the image w1zer postet here), or like you ozgreg have on your web (http://www.ozgreg.com/photos). Hello I read it now Sidebar is now working just fine, and "random image", and so on are working fine. Navigation tree of galleries looks ok, until i click on a gallery. If you have a look at this link: http://victor.gjeset.no/v/tobago_1997?g2_GALLERYSID=TMP_SESSION_ID_DI_NOISSES_PMT , you see that i get album list, but i also get all this info from gallery on the left side, and on top (while you get just albums). The page itself does not look that nice, eather. Any ideas why? Sincerely, Victor |

It would be nice to get a solution to this problem. I still can not get my album to show up within wordpress as the picture shows in the first post. Please please could you help me. |

w1zer, I am not sure what your problem is, when post a Album in my blog, it automatically goes to the album, if I post a photo in my blog it goes to that photo.. The same logic also applies for albums/photos in my sidebar. When I click on my photos (WPG2) page it takes me to the Gallery2 front page which is what you see in the picture.. What is the concern? ____________________________________ |

i want to display an album with sub-albums within wordpress, using the wordpress theme. I don't want it to display the Gallery logo. at the moment http://wizer.co.uk/wpg2 just displays my default Gallery2 page. I'd like it to be completely integrated. TIA |

Other than your Gallery2 theme that is pretty fundamentally integrated as what you are seeing is a wordpress page with G2 content. I personally use the Gallery2 WordpressEmbedded Theme you are welcome to download this theme and install this into your Gallery2 |

So are you saying that I have to use a certain wordpress theme to get full integration? Or can I use my wordpress theme within G2? |

Hiya W1zer, Here is a link describing what a Gallery2 Theme is. Basically like Wordpress Gallery2 has themes which very much like Wordpress control the look of the content within Gallery2. The WordpressEmbedded Theme is Gallery2 Theme.. ____________________________________ |
