Can't add images to embedded Gallery2 in Drupal 5.2

I'm using Drupal with Gallery2 embedded (versions below). I successfully got Gallery2 embedded and loaded several albums a number of months ago, but some time has now passed and when I logged into my drupal site as admin today, I can no longer find any way to access the Gallery admin screens or find any way to upload images. I've clicked through every admin section I can find, and trying to access http://www.[mydomain].com/gallery2/ just redirects to the home page, so I can't login to the standalone gallery2 part. The Gallery2 module shows up in the Administer section, but I can't find any way to add images or modify albums to save my life. Any suggestions appreciated. Gallery version 2.1 |

This sounds like a rewrite issue. You should check your .htaccess file for the G2 rewrite rules. Or try to temporarily disable url rewrite in G2 to verify ...
