Hi - I am trying to integrate Gallery 2.2.4 and WP 2.3.2 with wpg2 3.0.2. Gallery has been installed for years (and upgraded many times) - WP is brand new. I have my gallery on a different domain name than my WP install - which seems to be where some of the issue is coming from. Both are on the same host, just separate virtual hosts within apache. For reference below: I can easily install the wpg2 plugin. After activating the plugin, I go to the wpg2 menu item and get some errors in the wpg2 subtab regarding finding the path (which I would expect). I go to the path submenu, fill out the data correctly and submit it, and the screen below the menu comes back blank. If I click the path submenu again, it comes back, with the correct values. Then, when I navigate to wpg2 submenu, it appears blank, and will continue to appear blank. Errors are not produced to the screen or error log. As a test, I tried a quick install of wp on the same domain as my gallery (http://www.mygallery.com/wordpress/, and went through all the steps using the same settings as above, and it all works exactly as it should. thats what leads me to believe it is a domain thing. Any ideas? Can someone recommend a good way to debug this? Thanks, Al |

I know you can run WPG2 with G2 in a separate subdomain so we can park that issue...
Does your hosting account allow files to be accessed in www.mygallery.com from www.mywp.com? Because that would be the first issue that would break the validation and give you a blank screen..

thanks for the response - In what method to you mean allow access? Do you mean over http, or via the filesystem? I'm assuming you mean filesystem - and frankly, I'm not sure. Any idea on how to test that theory?
Thanks,
Al

Via filesystem... Are they the same user account?

Yes, they run under the same user account.
