Hello!
My Gallery is under construction so it's in Maintenance mode right now. However I'd like to allow some Registered User to access it in order to beta-test it. Is it possible?
In case only Admins can enter the Gallery while in maintenance mode, is there a way not to grant them All Permissions (e.g. prevent them from editing the Gallery)?
Thank you!

that's not what maintenance mode is for. maintenance mode is for upgrades / when changing things fundamentally.
i suggest you just remove public view permissions. that's pretty much what you describe. registered users can still view everything if given according permissions.
see:
documentation -> quick start guide -> permissions.

On my root Album, I removed the Everybody View Item Permission as you suggested, Valiant, and it does what I was looking for.
Except: I placed some text and links in the footer (in theme.tpl). On the Maintenance page, any Guest can click on "Admin login" and read my text and links which is something I don't really like it since it's under construction.
However Guests can not enter the Gallery and this was the point.
Thank you Valiant!
