Why won't this work smoothly?

I've been using / customizing WP for nearly two years now, I understand how it works, have installed more than a dozen plugins, configured them all and have setup more than a dozen different blogs for myself, friends and clients. I'm not a n00b towards coding either. I've used Gallery1 in the past, haven't in a long, long time. I found a use for Gallery2 + shopping cart plugin + paypal plugin + interegrated into WP for myself and a friend who are doing a charigy event. I have successfully installed Gallery2, no problems. I'm using a test subdomain for these experiments, so there is no impact on my users. http://sandbox.randomn3ss.com/gallery2 Currently on WP 2.3 Obviously WP is installed and working as well - http://sandbox.randomn3ss.com I have not found clear, easy to follow docs on how to make this plugin work well. I have it installed, all additional items in Gallery2 that need to be activated are, and has been verified to work, this is where I start to run into issues. It created a WP page called WPG2: http://sandbox.randomn3ss.com/wpg2 - not what I want. I am fine with having it as a page, it's actually what I need - but I don't want it called that. Next - no sidebars. I've read that I need to do a custom header.php file. Done, still doesn't work. Doesn't work with several different themes. I know CSS is a bugger, but for me to try adding the call function in several locations and with several different header files and none get close to working, it's a bit frustrating. I can worry about skinning Gallery to match the WP theme at a later time, It's just very frustrating that I can't get this to work properly in under two hours. Not my site, but I'm looking to do something similar to this: http://www.benjacobsenphoto.com/main.php Obviously they don't have left or right sidebars in their theme... but regardless, I need to make this work. Advise, suggestions? |

I can't help you. I have EXACTLY the same problem and I have been asking for a solution for months. Please can someone help us out here. This obviously works for some people. It is possible!

B) To use a WPG2 Custom Header, Please read the following Topic in the manual
C) To add Sidebars to your WPG2 Page, Please read the following Page in the manual.
