[URL Rewrite] Cannot configure

Hello everyone... Got a problem trying to configure the URL Rewrite module.

It has downloaded ok and installed ok. When I click on the "configure" link and it goes through to the ".../main.php?g2_view=core.SiteAdmin&g2_subView=rewrite.SetupRewrite" page where the links is for "Apache mod_rewrite".

Clicking on the "Apache mod_rewrite" link returns the following errors

Cannot get past this error. Tried both the official release and the experimental builds of the mod_rewrite plugin.
Also thought that maybe I had a bad gallery installation, so I reistalled everything again from scratch with the same result.

Can someone fill me in on what is going on here please. If more info is needed let me know.
