undertoe,
Please start a codex page for your theme and get others to flesh it out for you. Then you can point users to it for common questions/configuration options.
If you need a hand with creating a codex page let me know.
looking forward to this theme.
Dave

Pallet View

The core elements are done (title inline editing, css based auto crop thumbnails, pallet layout, page ajax transitions). I'm going to work on the photo view page and making it look a little better. Once i get the photo page in place I will be releasing an alpha *testing* version of it.

Very nice! Please pop into #gallery on IRC ( http://codex.gallery2.org/IRC ) so we can walk you through how to set this up so that it can be in downloadable plugins.

I guess I could put a release together, like a beta. It has some bugs but i suppose i could release it and then just build on it. I have so much other work going on that it's hard to stay focused on just one thing. I'll have something together in the next couple days for download.

Hey Undertoe!
You forgot to mention my Name in the credit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Original Theme was developed by Me on top of already existing Matrix Theme!
I have now made the theme available for download at:

I was waiting for a similar theme to be released for almost a year here: http://gallery.menalto.com/node/68022, but I think it might be worth to wait a couple of weeks for Your theme.
I hope You will give us some release soon!
Best regards!

Hello,
I'm interested in the pallet as displayed in (http://colt45.chemlab.org/photos/).
I've downloaded the gallery from the link aadesh gave but it doesnt include that pallet, do I need to install any extra plugins,
where can I find the ajax-pallet code
Thanks

I know all of you are waiting for it, but i don't really have any time to spend on it and it is very buggy. well not buggy but all the functionality to make gallery what it is, isn't there yet. It was more of a hack to see if i could get it working. I really need to familiarize myself with the full G2 Api.
I'll keep plugging away at it when i have some more time or get a little more interested.
Aadesh sorry for not giving you credit but I didn't release anything yet and in the end i didn't even plan to use your background and 5 icons. I was just using it cause I liked it and distinguished to me my different theme. If i use anything I will give you credit.

If you need some help with this theme, i'd be happy to spend my share of my free time on it (been using and modding themes for over 5 years now)
let me know if you need some help with!
The version Aadesh posted seems to be much more limited to displaying flickr-alike, whilst you have proceeded into adding on-click title editing, this part interests me most... making it possible for people to edit their user albums without having to see the overly complex back-end...

This looks fantastic. Please let us know when you have something (anything) for us to play with.

I really like the flicker photo layout you want to emulate and think it would go great on my site. Please let others play with it as the more heads on this the better. Most of the people in this forum who talk about editing it seem very talented as my past days as a lurker taught me.
