We have a domain thru IPower and have a gallery there that uses gallery version 1.5-RC2. I don't have ready info on the other information that is usually needed here, but thought I would get it started anyway. We had just finished updating and adding albums. Since we finished we are getting the following when attempting to connect: "The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request. No error is listed and I cannot find an error log. Any assistance that can be given would be greatly apprecated. The web address for the gallery is: http://brianandleaann.com/Gallery |

I am having the same problem with IPower (I am on vdeck 3.0; never had problems with this on 2.0). I cannot even get as far as you did, though. Perhaps this is an IPower problem?
Incidently, please tell me that you didn't pay the $12.95 that they are charging for this program?

I suspect that you had the vdeck version 2 and they 'migrated' you to V3 of vdeck?
They have made a server configuration change and if you call or use their on line chat support they should elp out.

I've had the same problem since the vdeck 3 migration. After reading this, I called iPower support and they fixed it within a few minutes.
Its' still frustrating that an update like this would break software directly provided by them. Pretty sad, but at laest they fixed it.
Thanks for the help!

I had all sorts of problems with the transition to their Vdeck version 3. They have changed their servers to Debian and have told me that Gallery 1.x would no longer work.
After a few alterations to the config.php and pointing the shopping cart config.php to the new directories and new mysql host (no longer "localhost")on the server my 1.x gallery is up and running with no problems at all.
I am certainly not going to spend $12.95 per year and endless hours of coding and customisation in getting my site right when it is totally unnecessary.
My advice to anyone that is told, or receives an email stating that Gallery 1.x won't work on the new servers following transition as I did, is that is total rubbish. iPowerweb just want you to PAY for Gallery 2 and are reluctant to help port your site to the new server because it means more work for them.
</End of rant>
p.s. jhead can be accessed via: "/usr/bin/jhead";
jpegtran is: "/usr/bin/jpegtran";
mysql host is: "youraccountname.ipowermysql.com" and not "localhost"

Gallery 1.x does not need mysql.

People who have installed the shopping cart add-on for Gallery 1.x require mysql. I just want to be clear about that. Your cart will not function unless you change the host address.
