how to vertically align thumbnail images

i'm using the sirux theme (not sure if that matters). i'm trying to vertically align my thumbnails of images in my album. they are by default vertically aligned to the top. my css looks like this:

.gallery-thumb img {
vertical-align:bottom;
background-color: #f3f3f3;
border: 1px solid #ddd;

but it doesn't seem to work. anyone know how to fix this?

Sorry but I am not running the Sirux theme so I cannot help however did you read the Firebug / WebDeveloper Thread stickied up the top of this forum?
