Hi everybody,
I was running Gallery 2.2.3 before. I tried to upgrade to 2.2.4 with the upgrade zip file, but without success...
Anyway, I decided to start from scratch and it's running well now.
I had the X-treme theme from Pedro. I like it very much and want to continue with it. The colorpack I was running is "x_charcoal". Of course, I want to use the same today.
So, I installed the theme X-treme and it works well. Same for the module colorpack.
But when I wanted to copy the x_charcoal pack from my previous install to the directory .../public_html/modules/colorpack/packs I get this message:
550 Rename /domains/odyssee.ch/public_html/modules/colorpack/packs/x_charcoal: Permission denied : /domains/odyssee.ch/public_html/modules/colorpack/packs//domains/odyssee.ch/public_html/modules/colorpack/packs/x_charcoal
There is no way to change the chmod nor to delete the directory or whatever.
I guess it is related to the parts installed by the original full install, maybe linked to a script issue...
Is there any way to solve this problem by myself or do I need to contact my webserver provider to change something ?
Thanks for your help
Kris

In fact, I tried the right way: I installed the modules colorpack, icons, imageframe and slideshow, as asked in the x-treme readme file.
Then I installed again the "x_treme_pack_full_1.0.5.zip" with the themes and the x_charcoal pack I want to use, which needs to be written in the .../public_html/modules/colorpack/packs directory.
I still have the same issue:
550 x_charcoal: Permission denied : /domains/odyssee.ch/public_html/modules/colorpack/packs/x_charcoal
550 /domains/odyssee.ch/public_html/modules/colorpack/packs/x_charcoal: No such file or directory
I search an answer in this forum. I found that some guys told to install with the preinstaller. I did not use that tool. Is there another way?
Sorry if the question is stupid, but I cannot go further since a few days... I'm stucked...
Thanks for your help

Thanks for your help...;-))
It took me time but I found the solution by myself.
For those who have or will have the problem, here is how I resolve it:
Go in http://www.yoursite.com/lib/support/index.php?chmod, login, go in "Advanced: Choose the path and the permissions manually", choose the directory you want change permissions, select "Read And Write for Everyone" and confirm. Everything runs fine afterwards.
The question still open on my side is: Do we have to change permissions to something other than 0755, or is it OK like it is?
Thanks
Kris
