Hi,

I have successfully uploaded allot of Pictures with Gallery Remote.

So, now I wanted to upload another bunch of pictures to another album. But now, after Uploading, Gallery Remote tells me "upload completed: server processing" but never stops!
When i Cancel there are no new pictures on the Album.
The Java Applet didn't work too!

There are no error messages, it just don't stops the "upload completed: server processing" dialog!

The "normal" upload by Browser works fine, BUT:
If you want to upload 100-200 Pictures, the Browser-upload is unusable!

What can i do?

Old post, I know, but I just had about the same problem myself (same error message, but didn't work in browser either)

A post in the Gallery1 forum helped me, the thread "upload freeze at resizing because of exif jpg?" About one third of the photos shot with a "u790SW, S790SW" had something buggy in their EXIF. Two thirds of the photos were added, but it used about 20 seconds per photo, and the last one third it just hung/timed out. I opened them in an EXIF editor and removed the Make tag and last one third added fast and nicely :)

If some of the developers want a copy of the buggy exif images just let me know.

I've just diagnosed the same fault eventually today, and have worked out that it's the Model EXIF tag causing the particular issue... but only found this thread after eventually getting a copy of the images the client was having trouble with.

In their case, they're shooting with an Olympus u790SW or S790SW (hence he dual make number).

The EXIF tag causing trouble is the Model tag:

"OLYMPUS IMAGING CORP. "

Removing that value (all of it, not part of it), I was able to then successfully upload the photos using gallery remote.

Turning off the exif module works in my case (the client doesn't need exif info for their photos on the site) but searching these forums for EXIF Olympus, it appears that there's some solutions for changes to the olympus.inc file that is used for reading the exif into Gallery2.

Thank you. Turning off the EXIF allowed me to upload all the pictures I was having problems with.
