G2Image puts wrong item ID into G2 Filter tag

Hi,

I am using G2Image 3.0.2 with tinyMCE 2.1.3 in a Drupal 5.6/Gallery 2.2.4 website.

I am finding that sometimes the Gallery Filter tag inserted into the TinyMCE editor by G2Image has the wrong item ID (i.e. not the ID of the image that was selected in the G2Image browser). Consequently the wrong image is displayed in the page when the page is viewed.

Has anyone else experienced this? I can only assume that it is a bug in G2Image.

If anyone has any info about this / workarounds / fixes that would be great.

I am using Drupal 5.2, Gallery 5.2, G2Image 3.0.2. I use BUEditor in place of tinyMCE, but G2Image integrates nicely with this.

I also see exactly the same problem as is described above.

The photo with the random ID only comes from the album chosen.
When inserting multiple images, the same picture occassionally appears twice
It does not matter if the upper or lower "Insert" button is used
formatting (e.g. exactsize) and chosen CSS class is also sometimes ignored.

Mines a small-ish site at the moment and the gallery is not very populated. Nevertheless, this is a pain for me as admin to use, and will be a mjor no-no for the users.

In desparate need of a workaround!

Sorry for the delay in replying. Life got in the way of G2Image work for a while. I'm back to some development, trying to get G2Image upgraded to work with TinyMCE 3.0 first, and then to wrap up G2Image 3.1 and get it out the door.

Thank you both for the detailed explanation of the error. As I get back to 3.1 development, I'll try to figure out what's going on. I may have already accidentally fixed the problem by the backend rewrite that's in 3.1, but I'll do some specific testing in Drupal to try to replicate this error.

FYI, I'm going to try to get 3.0.3 out the door next week. The only changes from 3.0.2 will be an updated interface with TinyMCE and JCE for TinyMCE 3.0 and replacing Lightbox with Slimbox. (Same functionality, just smaller download and fewer conflicts with other Lightbox installations.)

I use Wordpress 2.5.1, WPG2 with G2image 3.0.3. Same problem with wrong tag inserted.

Also when cliking of subgalleries those are displayed in _another_ popup window.
