Register globals

I am trying to get gallery v 1.5.7 operating on my website, www.davidblake.ie
I need to turn off register globals. Anybody know how to do this.
Also I can't see the .htaccess or config.php files.

Hello David,

did you solve your issue?
Why do you *need* to turn this setting off?
We highly recommend this, but Gallery will work with this setting.

The config.php and .htaccess files must be created or uploaded by YOU. They are not part of the Gallery distribution.

Something else:

You Webserver is an IIS from microsoft. Its a known problem that css files not ending with .css are not working.
So go to the css folder and rename the .css.default files to .css
If you are using a skin later, do the same in the css folder of the skin.
