Gallery 2 and PhpGedView

I have Gallery2 installed on /public_html/Gallery2. I also have PGV 4.1.5 up and running. It is installed at /public_view/phpgenview/. PhpGedView is genealogy software. Both Gallery2 and PGV are at the latest versions. I would like to install the common login interface between the two. I found some instructions at http://wiki.phpgedview.net/en/index.php?title=Gallery2_module . The above information said that Galley2 needs to be installed as a module within PGV. Since Galley2 is up and running so well, I don't want to run the risk of screwing everything up by trying to move it around. Could someone point me in the right direction on how to install the common login interface without moving everything around. I don't know it this is possible or not. Thanks for your help.
