Change Slider full size image in new window

I love the slider theme but don't like having to scroll when using the full size image view. Does anybody know if there is a way to change this so that full size image opens in a new browser window or overlays? I've been looking at Highslide to see if I could incorporate this into Slider for that purpose but my skills are just not good enough. It seems a shame with such a nice clean theme that ugly scroll bars intrude it. Here's hoping. Linda
