loggin into gallery admin [solved]

I have WP 2.5 installed and just added wpg2 installed 3.0.6 installed. The wpg2 plug-in validated in the WP dashboard. When I go to the embedded gallery, I cannot log onto gallery as administrator (there is no link to admin page)? Should I be able to do this (for example to upload photos)? This is the case whether I am logged onto WP admin or not logged on.

Edit[i]: I had different passwords on G2 and WP for my username. Made the pw the same and all is fine now.
