Recently i have had a recurring issue uploading images. for example, i will upload 20 images, but only 8 make it on the site. If i look on the server, i see all 20 images. The issue is not consistant. I can delete the entire album and repeat the process and a different number of images will appear in the album.

I have run the DB utilities. . I CAN upload using other means. I help a couple of other friends with thier G2 sites and i can upload images to thier sites with out issue.

I use Gallery Remote 1.5.1-b36 to upload. (as a work around, i am able to upload using the web interface and it works fine - Gallery REmote issue??)

I have not made any mods to my site in a very long time. This issue has started without making any changes. Please advise - and thanks in advance!!

I'm having the same problem here. Gallery Remote stated that it had uploaded over 200 MB of images and when I checked I find that nothing had been uploaded. The images appear to upload with no errors but when you check out the contents of your Album directory you have an empty folder.

Via FTP I 'watched' Gallery Remote (I kept on refreshing to see the contents of the directory) and I would see a file and then it would be gone when the next file started.

Gallery Remote v 1.5.1-b39
This Gallery2 installation is hosted on a MediaTemple Grid Server
Gallery2 Embedded in Drupal 6.3
Gallery version = 2.3-RC1 core 1.2.36
API = Core 7.54, Module 3.9, Theme 2.6, Embed 1.4
PHP version = 5.2.6 cgi-fcgi
Webserver = Apache/2.0.54
Database = mysqlt 4.1.11-Debian_4sarge7, lock.system=flock
Toolkits = Exif, Getid3, LinkItemToolkit, Thumbnail, ArchiveUpload, NetPBM, Gd
Acceleration = none, none
Operating system = Linux cl21 2.6.20.2-1 #8 SMP Tue Feb 12 07:11:48 PST 2008 i686

I don't see any errors in the Gallery Remote Log file.

I was able to fix this. Using a FTP client, i looked on my server and noticed that the name of the folder for Gallery Remote had a odd name (i think it had a version number in the folder name).

I uninstalled the application from the admin screen. went to my server and verified that the gallery remote folder was gone. I then performed all 3 maintenance options on the database. Using the admin/plug in screen, i downloaded and reinstalled gallery remote.

Worked fine after that. The folder on my server for Gallery Remote is simply "remote".

Hope this helps you out of the bind!

Oh stupid me ... I had turned on quotas and created one for the Registered Users role. Well, that is the only quota that I created so that applied to ALL users. So now I created another quota for Site Administrators and Site Editors.
