Integration into a Simple PHP Page.

I want to be able to show the latest 5 or so albums on a simple PHP page outside of Gallery2. Basically on my homepage. Is there a simple way of doing this? I was using the ImageBlock module to do this but the module seems to be slowing my website down a lot.

any help would be appreciated. thanks.

Imageblock is the way to go

or you can use

have you ever had an issue where ImageBlock was slowing down the Gallery? it seems like ImageBlock is really crunching MySQL by writing Temp Tables.

imageblock - There's certainly a performance hit when using the imageblock module.
There is http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery2:Performance_Tips and a few threads in the forums for improvement.
