Uploading Zip file of Images and other queries

Hi there,

This is the first time I've posted on a forum of this nature, and i would be grateful of any help you could give.

1) I am using Version 1.57 of Gallery (for first time today) and I’m using the form option to upload a group of around 40 images. Rather than selecting all the images, I thought that I could upload a Zip file of the images. However, this didn’t seem to work. At the end of the upload no files were showing. I was left with the box stating ‘Processing status….’ With the ‘Dismiss’ button but no images listed.

What is the best way to upload a large group of images all at once?

2) I’m also having a problem logging in. It looks like I have been unsuccessful logging in as on the homepage the ‘login’ button still appears, however when I go to the next stage down the ‘logout’ button appears, so I’ve obviously logged in ok.

Would this be fixed if I used Version 2?

3) Is there a limit on the number of images/number of albums that you can have using Gallery?

4) I am currently investigating using Gallery versus alternative packages for managing images online. An important feature is the search function and I’m thinking about (with help of IT team) creating a form that users (across our offices) complete when adding photos to the database, to help structure the search function.

Is there the flexibility to do this within Gallery?
