Way to directly go to Add Item from main Gallery web-page

Gallery has a lot of capabilities but for non-technical site users that are logged in through a Drupal session there are too many webpages to go through for them to upload a picture from their computer into an album. Is there a way to directly link them to the Add Item web-page from the main Gallery 2 web-page? If so what inc and tpl files etc need to be modified?
