Getting existing albums into a new gallery install

I have re-installed gallery because of an issue with my original install. It is up and running but none of the albums I have created over the last few years is visible.

I have approximately 50 albums that are setting on my web site that I want to display in the gallery. When I select the add album GUI the pull down shows all of them. However I can not display them.

I have read in the FAQ's and other resources that there is no tool to import them. So I am trying to import them using the add items from the local server. However I can not get the path set properly to look at the directory setup on Start Logic. My only tool to do system admin is a GUI tool that is cryptic at best. (I have been a solaris admin for 30 years.)

My question is the path to upload from. I have tried a lot of combinations to tell the gallery software where to find the photos are but to no avail.

I guess what I need is information from someone who uses start logic as there web host to assist me with my setup.

I am able to add photos and create new albums, I just don't want to re-invent the wheel so to speak.
