Is there a way to use WPG2 without having the system create an account in Gallery?
I want to use OpenID on my WP blog. I also wish to use WPG2 to display random images of my gallery in a sidebar widget. Unfortunately WPG2 throws up an error and makes the entire blog inaccessible if a user registers via OpenID (since there's no locally saved password).
I do not want an account to be automatically created in Gallery when using WP/WPG2. I just want to display images. If someone wants to register with Gallery they can do so by going to it directly.
I'm sure I'm not the only one in this boat. Is this at all possible?

Yes I believe this could be possible, try the REVERSE of this FAQ Entry that is REMOVE the (G2 user) capabilities on all your Wordpress Roles.

Thanks. Using the Role Manager plugin allowed me to remove G2 capabilities to subscribers, and everything appears to be working fine with OpenID activated.
