Gallery Remote??

i've got Gallery up and running fine, and i've uploaded a wide variety of photos from the Gallery interface that comes with the download. I've read about Gallery Remote, but i can't seem to figure out if i'm using Gallery Remote right now or if it's something additional that i should download. When i'm logged in as admin, there are links to the top right of the page where i can add photos..... is that Gallery Remote?

And if it's not Gallery Remote, can someone tell me if there are any added benefits to running the whole operation from Gallery Remote over what comes with the Gallery software?
