Hi,
I recently moved with my entire Server to a new Host. The transition worked ouf flawlessly except for WPG2.
The paths are the following:
/var/www/vhosts/DOMAIN/subdomains/blog/httpdocs/ to the wordpress root and
/var/www/vhosts/DOMAIN/subdomains/foto/httpdocs/ to the gallery2 root.
The Gallery2 Version didn't change after the move. The following paths are in the setup:
Gallery2 File Path: /var/www/vhosts/DOMAIN/subdomains/foto/httpdocs/
Gallery2 to WPG2 Relative Path: ../../blog/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/wpg2

I think these are the relevant paths. There's no error shown at all, so I presume the paths are ok. There's this nasty error message on the WPG2 main page that keeps the plugin from validating:

"Fatal error: Class 'GalleryEmbed' not found in /var/www/vhosts/DOMAIN/subdomains/blog/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/wpg2/wpg2embed.inc on line 42"

I googled here and on the rest of the Internet and couldn't find an explanation... maybe someone can help :)

Translate that to WPG2 cannot find the gallery2 embed.php file, which would meant the path to Gallery2 is incorrect. The simple solution would be to blank out the Gallery2 URL then try the Auto configure option and see if you get the correct Gallery2 path then..

Did that before, didn't work. All the previously embeded pictures work, it's just the Plugin that won't validate. The path is correct, I can manually use it to browse to the embed.php, that's the problem..

Either the path is still incorrect or you have process or a permission stopping WPG2 from accessing the embed.php file..

Late comment, but it still isn't working. What kind or permission problem or process could it be? All the files are owned be www-data and have at least a 644 permission.

Btw: Nice, at the moment of me answering this post you had 1337 postings ;)

It's sadly, even after updating both gallery2 & wordpress inlc. the wpg2 plugin.

The error stays the same. All permissions are right, owners are the same and I can manually browse the paths.

any idea?
