This is a fresh install. When i try to connect to the site with Gallery Remote (1.5.1-b39) and i get this error: Error: HTTP POST failed (HTTP 404 Not found)

I have reviewed the post and FAQ, but have not found this specific issue.
Help!

by any chance are you hosted through yahoo? the site i am having this issue is hosted there. For some reason, because of the specific error, i get the feeling it might have something to do with the host server (permissions or installed software). Im just grasping at straws now. I am setting this up for my cousin. It is the 6th Gallery site i have set up and this is the first time i have had this issue. the only thing that is different is the host.

Anyone got any ideas?

I am having the same problem! We are hosted by HostGator.com. Not Yahoo....

Ever resolve this issue. I am having a similar problem when I open Gallery Remote 1.5. It says Error: http post failed.

no, i did not resolve this issue. for the record, i was able to post images with other methods, just not with Gallery Remote. For me, without Gallery Remote, the platform is just not a option. I eventually gave up and uninstalled and told my cousin "sorry.. get a real host and i will try again".

I still believe the root issue lay with the host, but i dont have anything to back that up

I host with Godaddy.. and i refer all my friends and family to them. great service and price (and no, I'm not a stock holder!)

Same error with Gallery Client, its a 500 error. 1and1 hosting here, php5 .htaccess "trick" already in place for wpg2

Did anyone ever find a solution to this? Is anyone able to use Gallery Remote with recent
versions of Gallery2 (i.e. 2.3)? Here is where I am:

On the server I have a fresh and functional Gallery2 V2.3 (not an upgrade; a fresh install)

I have also done a fresh install of Gallery Remote on my windows XP system. I receive a message that there is a new beta update available, b46 but I do not install it. I try to start Gallery Remote 1.5 I receive the infamous 404 error:

(I stripped my Win XP system of all Java versions, reinstalled Java 6 as per the FAQ guide and this did not help.)
I checked on my server and there is no such file /gallery_remote2.php

[code]

Note: I tried using the b46 version by copying all the files in that zip file to the same directories in my c:\ProgramFiles\Gallery Remote directory but after I do that, the gallery remote code will no longer load.

Note2: There is in fact no file /gallery_remote2.php located on my server
