'Get More Plugins' page is blank

So I just installed Gallery 2.2.4 and set up a small test gallery and trying to play around with new themes. I clicked on the Get More Plugins tab and then added the community and experimental repositories (i forget the name and it isnt showing up anymore) and saved. Then click the next button to update my list. After a while it timed out. Now whenever I click the 'Get More Plugins' tab, I only get a blank page.

I have checked that the themes and modules directories are 777 (i found them in 2 places and changed them both)

Any ideas on what may be going on here? Are there any log files that I should be looking at?
