Ran file from website Installed ok but I cant find a start icon or file to launch it from. thanks

Well,
i don't understand what you mean.
Maybe i should try to explain what Gallery is.
Gallery is a web photo album where you can store you pictures and movies in.
As its a web application you, or your webhoster need to install it on a webserver.
If you do it on your own, this would mean you have to get a gallery version (G1 or G2), download it to your server and unpack it.
Then you have to upload the resulting folder into your webspace. After that you have to access your Gallery via your browser and start a webbased setup assistant to configure your Gallery.
And then you can use your Gallery.

Thanks for that. I understood most of it but not sure how I download to my server. It was they (uk2.net) who recommended you. Sorry if I don't get it. I can build website including forms and upload etc (using ftp commander), and get form feedback but this interactive malarky is over my head. I guess I'll get there eventually. Thanks. Roger
