How do I forbid certain file types from appearing in the sidebar widget?

I have some AVI movies into my Gallery2 installation. The whole problem with firefox not playing those AVI movies is a real bummer, I'm sure we can all agree. My problem is that the random thumbnails occasionally try to show a movie file. It makes Wordpress put up a broken thumbnail with the original-sized video in it, asking that I download a plugin (which we all know doesn't yet exist) to make it better. How can I disallow all files with the extension .AVI from appearing in the sidebar? (My site, for reference, is http://www.douglasvanbossuyt.com) Thanks! |

Log in as admin or album owner. go to the album that contains the .avi files
cklick Edit album, select the album tab (tick box)Prevent this album from being displayed in the Image Block

There isn't a way to just disable AVI's from being displayed without having to go through and do that for each album/movie? (I've got quite a number scattered throughout a large swath of my albums at the moment)

Not that I am aware of.
If there is, my guess is its a G2 function more so than WPG2, maybe ask in gallery2 forum if you don't find an answer here
