How to make an album visable to everyone,but have all it's photos default (when uploaded) to visible only to registered users???

(Firstly, sorry if this is the wrong forum for this)

So, what I would like to do is create (probably all) my albums such that they are viewable by guests, but so that when you upload photos to that album, their default permissions are that only registered users can view them.

The idea is that everyone can see what albums I have, and that they can see maybe 5 manually selected photos from each album, but generally you have to be a registered member if you want unrestricted access to all the photos.

What is the best way to achieve this? Can I work with the default functionality offered by gallery2 (I'm using gallery 2.2.6), or do I need to extend it some how. If so, can anyone recommend any useful plugins?
