Hi. I cannot (permissions I think) add a local folder within the matrix directory to edit the theme.tpl, sidebar.tpl, etc. I've tried using different ftp programs. I use cute ftp. Help please. Keith

What is the error message you are getting?

You should be able to check that the current permission settings are and maybe even see who the owner of the files are from your FTP program, if so, please post them.

How did you install Gallery? Did you use the pre-installer?

Yes. I used the preinstaller and everything was done.

The URL of Gallery is:
http://www.cycstl.net/scouts/gallery2/main.php

Thanks so much.

That's why then. Those files are actually owned by the user the webserver runs as. You have a couple of options. You can go to /scouts/gallery2/lib/support (enter the password that is stored in config.php)

Then click on Filesystem Permissions. From there you can change the permissions of a module or theme that you want to edit. Once you are done, you can go back and edit the permissions again to make it read-only.

First, thank you so much for all your help. I really do appreciate it. Second, how do I edit, after logging in, the Gallery Information. Right now, it reads... Gallery
This is the main page of your Gallery

Thanks again. Keith

craggy old answer:

Search the forums, it's been asked and answered a 100 times. ;)

or Start a new thread ;)

Quick and simple answer:

Login by clicking Login, then click on Edit Album, or just Edit. The location of that depends on your theme. But if using the default Matrix theme, it's on the left side
