Hi all, having a little problem that I hope someone can help me with. I'm running a site (http://www.social-raleigh.com) using WordPress, Gallery2 and the WPG2 plugin. Everything works fine with the following caveat: At (seemingly random) intervals, the WPG2 plugin seems to just quit working, in that if I click on a photo that's set to link tot he parent album, instead of the album page, I get a blank wordpress page. If I go into wp-admin, select the WPG2 settings, and just hit "save changes" (without changing anything) it starts working again.

Of the problems mentioned in the FAQ, the one related to memory consumption seems closest to this problem, but I've already bumped the php memory limit up substantially (I think I currently have it set to 96M or so) and that didn't seem to help.

Any other ideas on what could cause this, or how to fix it?

Edit:

FWIW, the following is an example of a URL that will sometimes result in a Gallery page, and sometimes in a blank WP page:

http://social-raleigh.com/?page_id=17&g2_itemId=556

Just to follow up, I just now noticed that I don't even have to hit "save changes" to make the plugin work again... if I just visit the WPG2 config panel in wp-admin, it
starts working again. So, if I login and just load (for example) http://social-raleigh.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpg2/wpg2functions.inc, the plugin begins to work.

I've looked at the apache logs and don't see anything that looks remotely relevant there, and this is with the PHP log level set to E_ALL. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem. I've set up the Sidebar Grid Block in WPG2 to display the most recent additions to the Gallery. When you click on the images it should take you to that image in the Gallery. It works for a while and for some reason it stops working and will only reset itself if I go into the WP admin page and re-save the permalink settings. (Using WP 2.9 with Gallery 2.3)

Any suggestions?

I think I've resolved my problem. When you install WPG2 and the WPG2 "Sidebar Image Block", the application adds a WPG2 Page to the Wordpress sidebar "Pages".

I didn't want this showing up on my sidebar so I went into Admin "Pages" and placed it into the trash. While this sits in the trash (Gallery2 won't let you fully delete it) and you remain in the WP Administration section, the Sidebar Image Block works as intended...if you click on an image it takes you to that image in the Gallery. However, once you leave admin and return to your Blog, it no longer works. You get the "Sorry, no posts matched your criteria" error.

I took the WPG2 Page out of the trash and restored it and everything's working as it should.
