Migrating G1 -> G2 - different server

okay quick question -
what steps are different in the migrating G1 -> G2 step by step guide if i want to install G2 on a new server?
currently i have G1 on an old website; soon i will purchase a new host and i want to "import" my G1 stuff (while keeping the same URL links) to the new G2.

What steps will be different and i should pay special attention to?

from what i've quickly skimmed over (in a rush now), i just install a brand new G2 on my new server, backup old G1 data, and follow the import steps into G2.
