I just found and installed WPG2. Very nice idea. Mostly, I just plan to use it to show a random Gallery2 image in the WP sidebar.
My issue:
If I access WP and I'm logged in, I can click on the sidebar image and it takes me to the WP/Gallery2 page featuring the large version of that image. However, if I'm not logged into WP, it takes me to the WP 404 error page.
Why is this? Is there a way I can turn it off? I don't expect everyone who looks at my site to log in, but I would like the link to work.
Thanks,
Peter

Same issue. Anyone got any ideas?
Gallery's installed in /gallery.
Wordpress's installed in /wordpress.
Root brings up the WP.
Could that have some impact?

Hi Dave,
Nope. If I activate it, it doesn't fix the issues with non-admin users getting a 404. It does cause additional problems, by sending all admin users to the Gallery main album.
Here's the Gallery homepage: http://www.mattwpbs.com/gallery2/main.php

Ok, bit more info from creating a test user.
Administrator or Editor roles - the user can get to the gallery.
Author, Contributor or not logged in - get the 404 in the blog.

Granting admin rights to G2 to an author or contributor does not allow them to get to the gallery.

I have not set up WPG2 for some time so all I can think of is the 'page' that WPG2 generates is not working right.
login to WP
Dashboard -> pages
you should see a 'page' for your WP that you can change the name of I think the default is photos but can't remember.
One thing you have to do I only configure the gallery rewrite module from the embedded not standalone portion of G2.

YES! I bloody love you.
I'd got that sitting at draft, as I didn't want it displaying. That makes perfect sense with the admin/editor being able to get past it as well - they could see the draft, so they had no problems. Thanks a million!
