My company has decided to implement Sharepoint, but its out-of-the-box graphic library capabilities are severely lacking compared to Gallery2. Is there any way of integrating the two applications? I'm not a developer, and any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Larry

You have my deepest sympathies. There are much, much better, more robust, faster, systems out there that are free and open source. Sharepoint's only advantage is great integration with Office. It's also really good at draining pocket books. Have fun watching your company spend several $10,000's on software.

As for integrating it, I doubt it. It might be possible, but from my little experience with Sharepoint... 1) I don't even know if you can run PHP on a SharePoint server. From a little bit of searching, the answer is no. You have to convert all code to .NET.

Personally, I'd look for a .NET image gallery or better yet, a plugin for Sharepoint. I don't remember what they were called, but you could get add-ons, some free, some not to enable other functionality, like displaying AutoCAD drawings on a page.

I'd also spend a bit of time searching google for PHP and sharepoint. I don't know if you can even access the Gallery API via other means than PHP and it really looks like you cannot use PHP with Sharepoint.
