I find this issue to be really strange. I recently upgraded to Gallery's newest Skidoo (great job!!!). However, it did mess up my lightbox configuration, which is understandable.

However, after hours of meddling, I find that none of my changes to any of the .tpl files are doing anything. I even deleted the whole templates folder and my theme still works!

The whole thing hinges on the theme.inc file. Once that's gone, everything else is gone. But when it is there - everything else works as well. How did this happen? How do I get it back so that my changes in the Templates folder will have any effect?

Any ideas would be great!

www.limered.net/limegallery to take a peek. As you can see - the lightbox works, but I didn't do anything to make it.

If this helps - lightbox was not working at all till I installed optical pork. It turned out the CSS was messed up and it didn't look right, even thought the lightbox worked. So I swapped back to the matrix - and then that was when this issue happened.

Thanks for looking!

There's a new setting in G2.3 where you can turn off template-caching while fiddling about with templates. Try turning it off. It's in the admin->performance page, I think. As far as I am aware, you can force a page to rebuild the cache by using ctrl-F5 in your browser, as an alternative.

If that's not the issue, then you are not editing the templates that you think you are - the template files that are being used are somewhere else.

Finally, do you know to put your edited template in a /local directory? If you're not aware, read and follow the link at the top of all the included template files.
