Create contact / proof sheet for local printing?

We would like to be able to use the cart module to create quick proof (contact) sheets that we can print at our office. Users should be able to add the photos they want on the sheet to their cart, and then create a contact sheet with those images.

Is this possible? Has anybody done this already?
