Configuration Error

I've installed Gallery, ran through the setup/configuration scripts - everything supposedly is installed/configured correctly. Ran the diagnostics script - all okay. Read the FAQ's, read just about every post here in the "Installation and Configuration Help" forum and still at a bit of as loss. While I'm an older guy (As far as most of you are concerned) and senility has surely set in, I can't figure this one out. When I try to load gallery "http://www.mdfisher.com/mod/pgallery/index.php" I get this error message:

Warning: Failed opening 'mod//albums.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/local/share/pear:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/mdfisher/www/mod/pgallery/index.php on line 198

I have double and triple-checked my paths. I found one error but it made NO difference in the error message. Where has this old boy gone wrong?

Hi!

Seems like it may be a path problem, since it refers to mod//albums.php
(note the double slash!)

It might also be a problem with your php install. php.ini includes a setting that defines which directories as allowed as include paths. (include_path='.:/usr/local/share/pear:/usr/local/lib/php')

I'm guessing you may have left a trailing slash somewhere in your setup.

I RE-checked all my pathing and still coming up empty. I myself have no access to my web-hosts PHP config info, so I'll kick a message off to them (phpWebHosting) as they've always been very quick and thourough with their tech support. Let's cross our fingers they know what the heck I'm talking about! :lol:

What version of Gallery are you using? The "index.php" file in v1.3.1 only has 115 lines in it, so I don't exactly see how it's winding up with an error on line 198!

DOH! I had somehow gotten a "Hacked" version of Gallery. No, I didn't download it from the "Official" D/L site. As soon as I saw your message, Bharat, I ran and check my file sizes. Egads.. I downloaded Gallery from the "Official" site and it's already up and running and error-free.

I want to apologize to you and hObbel for wasting your time. However, I sincerely appreciate your efforts. I'll be hanging around here and hopefully I can help someone else in the future. I doubt it, but a guy can hope, eh?

Aw, shucks. it was my goof, not his... I got it from Muggles' web site. I had D/L'd it a few weeks ago and forgot it WASN'T the official release. It was a mod that would (should?) have allowed someone to add Gallery as a phpWebSite module. I'm feeling dumber and dumber here, man! :???:

Mdfidher, do you know if Gallery can work as a phpwebsite 0.8x addon/module?
