Your Userfile is not writeable

When I visit my gallery at www.overtimewrestling.com/photos, I get an error message saying Your Userfile is not writeable. I went to the FAQs and found this: http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery1:FAQ#Error:_Your_Userfile_is_not_writeable but I made sure that my albums permissions were 777 and it still isn't working. Any other ideas? Thanks! |

Moved to G1 forums from G2.
the faq should work. You have to verify that ALL files, not just the directories are 777

I changed all the files in the gallery's folder to 777 recursively and it still doesn't work.

the error sort of says it all.
the user that the webserver and gallery runs under can't write to that file.
maybe changing ownership of that file will help.
