My first post: let me start by congratulating you guys on an excellent product. Keep it up!

I am busy working on embedding it in my violin building website and I need some advice. Some of my questions might be noobie, but please be gentle...

Here is my existing site without Gallery (built with MS Publisher). It works fine but it is high maintenance since I have to insert all pictures and thumbnails manually. I am looking to replicate this functionality and look-and-feel using Gallery2.

http://www.bekkerviolins.com

There are TWO sections that uses pictures. The 'instruments' section and the 'workbench' section.

This is where I am now. I have successfully managed to embed Gallery2 into the website. Here is a link to my dev site:

http://bekkerviolins.com/development/index_files/Page435.htm

It works fine except for a few things that I need help with.

1. I would like the same background as the main site.

2. I would like the Instruments album to open in the 'instruments' section and the Workbench album to open in the 'workbench section. So the question is: can I embed Gallery with an album already open, and if so, how?

3. I would like to get rid of all the things I don't need. Login, Gallery logo, Gallery heading, etc, etc,. I want only the thumbnails and names.

I probably need a theme that can do all the above. Any suggestions?

Why don't you try a cms that already has an integration.
Geeklog, WordPress, Drupal....
These free open source content management systems have built-in article/story publishing, forums, rss publishing... and of course gallery integration ... much more.

I happen to be responsible for the geeklog integration package ;)
