My wp blog and gallery2 were installed at my former host. I moved to a new host. I recreated the wp setup by moving files (plugins and themes, in particular) but did not import the old DB - instead used the wp import function to bring in old posts/resources to a new wp install.

For gallery2 I moved the g2data folder to the new site and also replaced the gallery DB with the DB from my old site.

Everything seems to work fine.

I install the WPG2 plugin (v. 3.0.7) and configure, turning on gallery2 rewrites. Gallery now works correctly embedded into my wp site at http://www.hostname.com/wpg2.

In wp I go to the WPG2 plugin settings and everything is still fine.

Now I go to the Users panel in wp and then click the "Gallery2 Users Link." At this point I get the following error:

Fatal G2 error

Here's the error from G2: Error (ERROR_MISSING_OBJECT)

in /home8/gdanmitc/public_html/wp-admin/admin.php at line 69
in /home8/gdanmitc/public_html/wp-admin/users.php at line 2

AND, now when I visit the main wp site (e.g. www.hostname.com) on the home page, only see only:

Fatal G2 error

When I delete the WPG2 plugin the wp site and the Gallery2 site (at www.hostname.com/gallery) both work fine as long as they are independent and not linked by WPG2.

If I reenable the plugin there is no immediate return of the problem - e.g. the embedded version of gallery site works again. But if I click the WPG2 link in wp and go to the page to activite gallery2 rewrite I get the errors again.

Help?

I don't think any one is home. I've posted a couple of time with zero response. Not very encouraging. I'm thinking of moving to something other than Gallery at this point, and sharing my disappointment with readers of my photography blog.

A number of people have reported this and similar issues...
