setting new picture captions

First off, i want to thank everyone who is working on the gallery2 development. I have been useing gallery1 for a long time, and i can't wait to see gallery2 finished with all its great new features.

I set up a test galler2 so that i could play around with it and maybe help solve somes problems and work out bugs.

one thing i noticed going from gallery1 to gallery2 was that i can't seem to find a "captions" page or perhaps in the gallery2 it will be called the "summarys" page. Where you get a page with thumbnails on the left hand side and can edit all the captions/summarys at once.

if i am missing this page. please forgive, but if not, it would be a nice thing to have.

and another thing with captions, when you upload files to the server, it gives you the option to add the captions to the file as you upload them. it might be nice to have that option on the page where it says adding. On the adding page it would say added 1231231.jpg and show a thumbnail and have a caption/summaries box to be able to input the caption/summaries at that point.

By no means am i complaining or demanding that these features be implemented. I just wish to share my view as to how to make the gallery2 the best that it can be. if they don't get implemented it is fine by me, there are already a dozen ways to add captions/summaries to the photos, just no way to do a bulk number of summaries with a thumbnail images of the pictures that i know of.

Good ideas. We will bring back the captionator, but not right away because we still have much larger features to iron out. Once we get the new UI attached (it's mostly done now) we can sort out these things. They're on my list.
