Install Help!

I am getting this error:

Error: Gallery2 Rewrite Rules Failed to be updated

on the Gallery Rewrites Page. I have tried adding the htaccess file, to no success.

Also... the site seems to be working, EXCEPT clicking on an album thumbnail does not take you to the album???
