Add Items plugin: Exclude items globally

Is there a way to exclude certain filesnames from being added to Gallery2 when using the Add Items plugin? (Local Folders source)

Some of my original folders have .txt files in them of no use to Gallery2, that it will normally show up, and I was hoping to have Gallery2 ignore them completely.

No, you can hide them, but you can prevent them from being added. site admin -> MIME Types
