dislaying a custom field under every album thumbnail

The checkout module has a getItemLinks function which will put an "add %s to cart" under each album or photo thumbnail. I changed it to only do so for albums. I really need custom fields to show up under there too. I made a field called "Status" which can be "Sold" or "Available" which I want to show under each item. Thanks
