[Solved] Preinstall not executed

Hello,

It seems that preinstall does not execute.
After typing the link into the browser I get a blank page and the browser says finished (same for IE6 and firefox 2)

Since I don't get a an error message I guess it's not an issue of wrong user rights?

I'm using PHP5. And I'm absolutely new to alls this stuff.

Does the script need register globals?

Hints are appreciated sindce I don't know where to start to search.

Edit: My ISP has a great online editor, that leaves the file empty after you modify it.
-> After inserting the paasword the file was gone.
So I just edited it before upload and now it executes. The script has many complains (also about safe mode), but this is another story...
