.. to save on connection time. I used to bulk convert 1M+ jpgs to 400x400 pixel 60% quality jpgs (typical 30-60K each) before upload. Don't want to have the huge originals on the web.
have a look in this file, seems theres an option..but havent tried it yet.
btw, i never had much luck with jpegs .. with (500 width * xxx height) gifs i usually get about 25-40k images, and quality is about equivalent to 75-80% jpeg progressive.

Ah... I wondered how to do this. It would (IMO) be better to have a dialog for setting these default dimensions. Also, I am not clear whether it would scale up the picture if the original was smaller; in most cases that would be undesirable.

Regarding the options dialog, it's in the plans, but I prefer to add features first, even if some of them can only be used by playing with the config file, and then create a preferences dialog.
