Hi Guys trying the new G3.

I get the below error msg, after installing G3. Have tried several differnet installs. I Have played with the DB settings but no go.
Can you do more of a manual install like in gallery 2.x?
The installer has created the g3 DB. I am testing this on a local windows pc.
I have attached screen dumps of the install.

ERROR MSG AFTER INSTALL.
kohana/libraries/drivers/Database/Mysql.php [69]:

mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)

Gallery version = 2.2.4 core 1.2.0.6
PHP version = 5.2.4 cgi
Webserver = Apache/1.3.41 (Unix) mod_perl/1.30 mod_log_bytes/1.2

to echo what floridave said, the gallery dev team is not going to invest time into supporting Windows. But this is open source, so if it's of enough interest to the community I'm sure you'll see some support emerging.

Now I am confused.
Windows? Unix? Try to install G3 on your, assuming linux, host.

Installed G3 on my web hoster, install went well, however cannot login, with admin and password created during login?
I created a use manually in the DB but this did not work either?

Yes. It gave you the admin password, I have missed that before as well. I suspect this will change closer to release.

Use the User interface to create users.
Sounds to me like you should start over if you missed the admin password.
