Validation of WPG2 3.0.7 in WP 2.7.1 with G2 2.2.5 not possible

Hi,
I'm trying to get the "Gallery2 Rewrite Plugin" working in my Installation:
WordPress: 2.7.1.
Gallery2: 2.2.5
WPG2: 3.0.7
in Wordpress I have the following Plugin activated:
WP Sentry: 0.7

My permalink options for WordPress are:
/%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%

But I can't validate the WPG2 Plugin.
When I click on the WPG2 Tab I just get a plain white site.

I don't even know, if it's a WP or a G2 or a WPG2 problem.

Any Hints?

Hello,

I'm experiencing the same problem:

WordPress: 2.7.1
Gallery2: 2.3
WPG2: 3.0.7

I found, that I have to deactivate all other plugins in order to see every option page of wpg2.
Furthermore, wpg2 changes the interface of TinyMCE in WP 2.7.1 and the wpg2 insert option for editing posts/adding pictures stays blank.

Unfortunately, wpg2 cannot be used with WP 2.7.1

I'm hoping for an upgrade for this excellent plugin!

Actually: I see all the options tabs and I can browse them. But the very first one (the validation one) stays blank... So changing the settings on the other tabs has no effect, as the plugin is not validated and therefore is not working at all. (Please validate Plugin Message shows up when clicking on the WPG2 Link in the Blog.)

I can see the very first tab, but only if I deactivate all other plugins. After that WPG2 starts to work, but as soon as I activate other plugins, some tabs of WPG2 will disappear.

I fear we have to wait for an update...
There are rumors of a version 3.0.8, but I cannot find where to download.

In the meanwhile I got a working Setup:
I downgraded to
G2 2.2.5
WP 2.5.1
WPG2 3.0.5

Because this combination seems to be known to work:

additional plugins:
WP-Sentry 0.7
Latex for WordPress 2.01

But I had to disable all the rewrites (mod_rewrite stuff) from WPG2 and from Wordpress itself, as the .htaccess file crashed/jammed/put the webserver of my hosting provider into a non-working state.

Downgrading is no solution for me, as I need some WP-features > 2.5
So I habe to wait for a fix in WPG2

Has anyone come up with some answer other than "turn off all other plugins" to get this working? I was able to turn off the plugins and make it "look" like it's working, but from the public side it's not returning the results that I would expect.

Downgrading (to something which is listed in the Release Matrix http://codex.gallery2.org/Integration:WPG2_Release_Matrix ) helped for me. I did not try anything (else) since then.
