Photos disappear when I log out (not hidden)

Hi,

I'm working on migrating from Gallery 1 to Gallery 2. Because I had large numbers of photos in some albums, I broke up some of the albums to import into G2.

Now, I tried moving around the photos in G2 a bit, but I found that when I logged out the number of items in a given album would drop. First I would have 147 items, then when I logged out only 20.

I tried breaking down into smaller albums, and that helped with some, but not with others.

I checked to see if anything was hidden, or had restricted permissions - no, everything seems fine.

So why are so many photos disappearing when I log out?
