Adding images earlyer FTP'ed to my side - Could not open url

Gallery can't do the impossible. It needs to be able to see what's in that directory in order to suck the images out of it. But you've disabled directory indexing, so this URL:
http://www.fjellstua.com/tmp/album/nice/
Returns a "Forbidden: You don't have permission to access /tmp/album/nice/ on this server." message. Now, how is Gallery supposed to figure out what images are in that directory?

I forgot to say -- the other alternative is to provide a physical path to the images. Ie, ftp them to your server in your home directory and then enter "/home/yourname/thedirectory" (with the right info) into the text box.

Can't do the impossible? But I had such faith in you guys and your program :smile:
Well, okay.. but I have chmod'ed all directories to 777, and it still doesen't work... is this something i need to ask my host to fix?

You need to enable automatic directory indexing.
Gallery can only see what you see. When you can enter the URL into
your web browser and either see the images on the screen, or see
links to the images, then it will work for Gallery. If you can't figure out
how to make that happen then yes, you should probably consult with
your ISP.
